For those who have read my blog earlier know that I believe that the occurences of November 21st was a Communal Riot and that the phrase is on my blog.I updating it by featuring in it news from the BBC so I can substantiate the claims of someone who thought I was "irresponsible"and that I should "post a rejoinder"I can't change the world, but I can back my opinions by factual statements. So I've done it.I have also corrected all the typos and syntactic errors that I had made previously.

Some people in the world just don't make sense. They are dogmatic in their approach, and yet they expect other people to be kind to them. They hate being called stupid, but they feel pity "for the elders of the persons family"and claim that they are not being abusive. They harp on "Freedom of Expression"and it when it comes to another's Freedom of Expression, they expect it to be laid down by them and built on their own value systems and beliefs, which they declare as the "truth".The .And yet, even if they don't make sense,I guess I'll have to live with it.

Minister Manmohan Singh has conveyed to his colleagues that no government should succumb to the "blackmail"tactics of fundamendalist elements from any religion, sources close to him said.

If we were to think this way and just let it all happen, thinking that the trouble makers will be punished by god then we are basically encouraging them aren't we? I mean if we allow this to happen and depend on god( and we dont really know if there is one at all) to do all the sinner bashing then it would be wrong on our part as well.

This needs to stop and people need to start learning to sort out their priorities, too many of us even in our everyday lives interfere in other people's business, that too unnecessarily, we all need to realise the fine line between what is our concern and what is not. The developement plans were actually none of the concerns of the various political parties, the entire process of carrying out the barricading lands and all the atrocities that happened since then were basically because too many people interfered in it.
It is sad indeed but some solution needs to be found and it needs to be quick, otherwise we are all going to be in line for greater trouble which will probably end in us all being wiped out by each other.

What  you  have  written  is  really  sad.
If  there  is  God,  such  wrongs  should  not  happen.
But  God's  ways  are  mysterious.  He  is  always  protecting
humans  against  sins  &  degradation.

I agree with that as well. The original intention of developement was good, we all know how poor a condition the farmers used to have to live in anyway, judging by what TATA did to Jamshedpur, he may well have been trusted upon, but the party politics got in the way and villified an originally decent intention

Sir,I believe you meant that it would have been better if they thought about their party politics later and the national interest first,in which case I totally agree with you.

The CPM is getting a kind of poetic justice at the hands of the villagers of Nandigram. The tangle of land acquisition has taken such a shape. But the left parties are doing the same thing while mindlessly opposing UPA Government’s economic measures: setting up of SEZs, attracting FDIs, reforming labour laws, to name a few.  Had they treated the economic issues on purely economic grounds, had they kept party politics above national interest, they would have successfully maintained their bold face.

Elitism is the belief or attitude that those individuals who are considered members of the elite — a select group of people with outstanding personal abilities, intellect, wealth, specialized training or experience, or other distinctive attributes — are those whose views on a matter are to be taken the most seriously or carry the most weight; whose views and/or actions are most likely to be constructive to society as a whole; or whose extraordinary skills, abilities or wisdom render them especially fit to govern .

Mr Datta,
you don't know how happy you've made me by calling me an elitist.Thank you so much.

"You can call me stupid but be honest to yourself. Instead of lecturing me to respect others judgement - I believe you need the same more urgently. I said - use of "communal riot" which did not happen was irresponsible. I suppose "Communal riot" was a typo ,which was removed in the editing. Even if you do not admit, you know it and those who read it because it was show cased.know it.

Please be happy."
I stand by what I said about communal riots
Thanks for caring so much about my well-being

Mr Datta,
Since when have my comments suggested that I am targetting Islam as the only religion with religious fundamentalism? Off course all religions do and the biggest example would be that of the Brahmin hypocrisies throughout the ages; something that was portrayed in Deepa Mehta's Water. But you seem to be hell bent on correcting Reeti's terming the conflicts in Kolkata as Communal, when in all truth they were exactly what she has called them-A Communal Problem fuelled by party workers.
The CPI(M) did not object to Taslima Nasreen's staying in India before because they were too busy helping hack up the poor villagers nandigram. Plus I dont believe the bulk of the party members of CPI(M) are Islamics, which is why they cared a damn about what a muslim woman regarding about the atrocities they face.
I dont know about the rest of the society since I do not take it as a bench mark for my beliefs, but I certainly respect Taslima and as far the society is concerned, they don't really care a damn about she has written either because it is the same society which oppresses women in other forms. They seem to be suporting Taslima because it is those who are against her, who have created havoc in the city. So this is more an Enemy of Enemy =Friend scenario. Honestly speaking the society is too chauvinist in Kolkata too in order to care, so there goes your answer as to why the society is going ga ga over Nasreen, it is because they have nothing better to do.
