Anger in Kolkata-My City

Yes,do so by all means.I insist that there was a communal angle to the riot, whether it was a communal riot or not is debatable.I stand by what I have said. There was a communal angle and the word "communal" has been used by NDTV on at least one of its bulletins. The riot was communal without a doubt and I strongly believe that.

My primary source of information was NDTV.

There was definitely a communal angle to the riot. The Minority Forum stressed much more on the Taslima Nasreen issue than the Nandigram Issue, which is non-communal.

As ar as the Babri Masjid is concerned,I understand that the epicentre was elsewhere. So it has possibly not been a fair comparison.

Kolkata here is just an example...it could've happened anywhere..but i we start becoming fundamentalist and extremist, then how are we doing any good?I understand your point here...we need to fight fire with fire...but my question is...will anything come out of this?Do we need to shed more blood?I am not concerned about only kolkata...but the world at large..because of the dogmas...violence seems to be the only language that these people understand...and its something that is plaguing the world at large.I held up kolkata as an instance because I can write about it better than say other parts of the world, because I am in kolkata right now,so what is happening is happening in front my my eyes.

While I wouldn't take such an extremist standpoint,I think an individual(whether man or woman)should be allowed to have an opinion and this kind of oppression is ridiculous.I'm just disgusted that people in kolkata would resort to something like communalism. We pride ourselves on being "intellectual"and things like that.Where has all that education gone?I'm astounded and am shaking with anger, rage and disbelief.
